Are you saying that because of all the conditions he has mentioned? I know Sparky was going to check out the transformer today. Dont know what he found.

I was by there today and set up the meter............Looks like an
unbalance load............................S

Hey Sparky, you said that it was an unbalanced load problem. What were your readings compared to the wire size?

A 45kva is good for 125amps max at 208 volts , you are only allowed
to load it to 80% or 100 amps . When I check the phase's were
70, 45,90.........this was first thing in the morning.

I'm sure when I check the meter it show higher readings later in the
day.

what actually sparked my curiosity was that somewhere along the line someone mentioned that not one but all the lines felt hot at one point........are you saying that all the phases were drawing above 100A at one point?

For sure , I was there early in the morning as the day goes on and more
use is put on the transformer , the hotter it will get................S

Well after a week of monitoring the transformer , I've found that it is
not only unbalanced but over loaded. I've recomended that he ungrade
to a 75KVA as soon as he can get approval.
